Buckeye, AZ (February 20, 2026) – At least one person was killed on Friday morning in a crash involving a passenger vehicle and a semi truck on I-10 near Palo Verde Rd in the Buckeye area. The collision led to a major closure along the eastbound lanes of the interstate.
According to investigators, a passenger vehicle crossed all lanes of traffic before striking a semi truck. The impact caused the semi to overturn across the freeway. The semi truck displayed the Amazon logo on its side.
Emergency units responded to the scene following reports of the crash. Officials confirmed at least one fatality but have not yet released the identity of the person who died or whether others were injured.
As a result of the crash, the eastbound lanes of I-10 at milepost 108 were closed. Westbound lanes remained open and were not affected by the incident.
