Why Emergency Response Crashes Pose Serious Risks
Crashes involving emergency responders often occur while officers are navigating traffic under urgent conditions. Even when no civilian vehicles are directly involved, high speeds, rapid lane changes, and congestion can increase the risk of collisions.
Busy highways present additional challenges, especially during morning hours when traffic volume is higher. Investigators typically examine road conditions, vehicle positioning, and response protocols to determine how these incidents unfold and how similar crashes can be prevented in the future.
