Understanding the Hazards of Large Truck Accidents on Highways
Crashes involving large trucks can be particularly dangerous due to the vehicles’ size and weight. When a truck collides with a smaller vehicle, the impact can cause significant damage to both the vehicle and the surrounding infrastructure, such as utility poles or guardrails.
These accidents often require extensive emergency response, including medical care and roadway clearance. Weather, traffic volume, and road conditions can all contribute to the likelihood of collisions. Even minor accidents with trucks may result in injuries because of the forces involved, making careful driving and awareness of large vehicles essential for safety on highways.
