How School Bus Crashes Are Reviewed After an Accident
When a crash involves a school bus, several factors are typically reviewed to understand how the incident happened. These reviews often begin with the positions of the vehicles and the directions each was traveling before the impact.
Investigators may also look at traffic signals, stop signs, and right-of-way conditions at the intersection. Road surface conditions, visibility, and morning traffic levels can provide additional context.
Vehicle damage can help show the angle and force of the impact. This information can reveal whether one vehicle struck another from the side, front, or rear.
Medical evaluations are also considered, especially when kids are involved. Even when injuries appear minor, medical checks help ensure passengers did not suffer hidden harm during the collision.
