Colorado Springs, CO (March 16, 2026) – Two people were hospitalized after an SUV left the roadway and crashed into a residence early Monday morning in Colorado Springs, causing significant property damage.
Officers with the Colorado Springs Police Department responded to the crash near Palmer Park and Shelton Road in Colorado Springs, Colorado. According to investigators, a sport utility vehicle veered off the roadway during the early morning hours while residents inside the home were still asleep.
Authorities said the SUV traveled through a fence before crashing into the side of the house. The impact caused extensive damage to the exterior of the residence, including a shattered window and the destruction of an outdoor air conditioning unit.
Two individuals involved in the incident were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of injuries. Their current conditions have not been publicly released. The collision also ruptured an external water line at the property, temporarily cutting off water service to the home and requiring immediate repairs. The incident remains under investigation by the Colorado Springs Police Department.
