Emergency crews responded to the 9800 block of South US 183 near Maha Loop Road after receiving reports of a serious collision involving a commercial vehicle. According to Travis County Fire Rescue, one individual was transported by air via STAR Flight to a nearby hospital. Officials have not yet released details regarding the patient’s condition.
Authorities said the crash caused a significant concrete spill across the roadway, leading to a full closure of all lanes in both directions. Traffic was diverted, with southbound vehicles rerouted at Maha Loop Road and northbound traffic redirected at FM 1327. Crews remained on scene working to clear debris and manage traffic while ensuring the area was safe for motorists. The Texas Department of Public Safety is leading the investigation into the crash.
