Understanding the Risks of DUI Crashes
Driving under the influence significantly increases the likelihood of serious crashes. Impaired drivers often misjudge speed, distance, and vehicle control, making collisions more likely. Seat belts play a critical role in protecting passengers, as unrestrained occupants are more vulnerable to fatal injuries.
Intersections are common locations for these types of accidents, especially when drivers fail to yield or miscalculate turns. High-impact crashes in such situations can involve multiple vehicles and lead to severe damage and injuries. Emergency response and immediate medical care are key factors in improving survival outcomes.
