East Helena, MT (March 21, 2026) – A motorcyclist was killed in a crash at the intersection of 4th Street and West Riggs Street in East Helena. The crash occurred on Thursday, March 19.
Investigators said a vehicle was traveling on 4th Street and attempted to turn left onto West Riggs Street when it collided with a northbound motorcycle that had the right-of-way. The rider, identified as 27-year-old Jacob Chester Bright of East Helena, was thrown from the motorcycle and suffered fatal injuries. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The driver, identified as 46-year-old Paul Michael Bushnell of East Helena, was taken into custody following the incident. Officials said he is facing a felony charge related to the crash. Additional details about his condition or injuries were not released.
