How Fire Crews Respond to Large Residential Fires
When a house fire is reported, multiple units are often sent right away to handle the situation. Firefighters usually begin by locating the main source of the fire and setting up water lines to control it. In larger fires, extra crews and water tankers may be called to support the effort.
These incidents can take hours to bring under control, especially if the fire spreads through multiple parts of the structure. Crews also work to protect nearby homes and ensure the area is safe once the flames are out. Afterward, families may need temporary housing while damage is assessed and repairs begin.
