What Factors Are Often Reviewed After a Head-On Collision?
Head-on crashes are among the most severe types of roadway incidents due to the force of impact between vehicles. After such events, several elements are commonly reviewed to better understand how the collision occurred. Road positioning is one of the first things examined, including whether a vehicle crossed the center line.
Speed and driver reaction also play a part in how these crashes unfold. Investigators may look at skid marks, vehicle damage, and the final resting positions of the vehicles. Traffic flow and visibility conditions at the time can also provide helpful context.
Mechanical issues or driver-related factors may also be considered when looking at the sequence of events leading up to the crash.
