What Safety Factors Can Affect E-Bike Accidents Near School Areas?
E-bikes have become more common around schools as students look for quick ways to travel short distances. These bikes can reach higher speeds than traditional bicycles, increasing the risk of crashes if riders and drivers are not fully aware of each other.
Traffic flow near schools often changes during the morning rush hour. Cars entering parking lots, students crossing streets, and bikes sharing the road can quickly create busy conditions.
Visibility also plays a role in these situations. Vehicles turning into school entrances may not always notice a rider approaching from the side. At the same time, riders may have limited time to react when traffic suddenly slows or turns near campus access points.
