Why Rear-End Crashes Involving Motorcycles Are Often Severe
Motorcyclists are especially vulnerable in rear-end collisions due to the lack of protection compared to enclosed vehicles.
Even at moderate speeds, the force of impact can eject a rider or cause critical injuries. Visibility and following distance are key factors that can influence these types of crashes.
Investigators often review traffic conditions, vehicle spacing, and driver awareness when determining how these incidents occur.
