Why failing to stop at intersections can lead to serious crashes
Intersections are among the most common locations for vehicle collisions, especially when traffic control devices like stop signs are ignored.
Failing to stop can result in side-impact or “T-bone” crashes, which can be particularly dangerous because vehicles offer limited protection on their sides. These crashes often happen quickly, leaving little time for other drivers to react.
Extra caution is especially important during early morning hours when visibility and alertness may be reduced. Obeying traffic signs and staying attentive can significantly reduce the risk of intersection-related accidents.
