How Collisions with Service Vehicles Can Become Severe
Crashes involving service vehicles, such as street sweepers, can lead to serious outcomes due to differences in size and weight. Larger vehicles may cause greater damage when they come into contact with smaller passenger cars.
Roadside operations can also affect traffic patterns. Vehicles working along the roadway may move at slower speeds or stop frequently, which can create unexpected situations for approaching drivers.
Visibility and positioning play a key role in these incidents. Drivers may not always anticipate a service vehicle ahead, especially in early morning hours, increasing the risk of a collision.
