How Early Morning Conditions Can Affect Highway Driving
Driving in the early morning hours can present unique challenges for motorists. Reduced visibility, lower traffic awareness, and fatigue may all impact reaction time. Even on familiar roads, these factors can increase the risk of a crash.
Highway travel at night or before sunrise often involves higher speeds and fewer visual cues. Drivers may not notice changes in traffic patterns or obstacles as quickly. This can be especially dangerous when large vehicles like tractor-trailers are involved.
Staying alert, well-rested, and maintaining a safe following distance can help reduce risks during early morning travel.
