Appleton, WI (April 9, 2026) – A two-vehicle crash on Thursday morning in Appleton resulted in injuries and prompted a road closure along a busy stretch of Wisconsin Avenue.
The crash occurred around 6:50 a.m. at the intersection of Wisconsin Ave and Meade St. According to the Appleton Police Department, one of the vehicles involved reportedly overturned during the collision.
Emergency crews, including police, fire, and ambulance personnel, responded to the scene and transported occupants from both vehicles to local hospitals for treatment.
As a result of the crash, Wisconsin Avenue was closed for one block between Lawe St and Meade St while crews investigated and cleared the scene.
Motorists were advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes. The closure was expected to last several hours.
