Pearl River Co., MS (April 10, 2026) – A woman died after being struck by a vehicle on Wednesday morning, April 8, in Pearl River County. The incident occurred around 9 a.m. along Highway 11.
Emergency units responded to the scene and found a 45-year-old woman who had been hit by a northbound vehicle operated by a Poplarville Fire Department employee. The woman, identified as Miranda Chuter of McNeill, was taken to a nearby hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
Officials reported that the driver was not injured and that the vehicle was not responding to an emergency at the time. No charges have been announced, and the crash remains under investigation.
