What Authorities Review in Multi-Vehicle DUI-Related Highway Crashes
When multiple vehicles are involved in a highway crash, investigators often focus on the sequence of impacts. This helps establish how one collision may have triggered additional crashes across lanes of travel.
Driver actions leading up to the incident are also reviewed, including lane changes and passing maneuvers. These details can help clarify how traffic movement contributed to the event.
In cases involving suspected impairment, officers typically document driving behavior, roadway conditions, and post-crash observations. Injury assessments and vehicle damage patterns are also used to reconstruct how the collision developed across multiple impact points.
