What Risks Are Associated With Scooter Use in City Traffic?
Scooters are often used for short trips in busy areas, but they share the road with larger vehicles. This can create risks, especially when traffic is moving in the same direction at different speeds.
Visibility is one of the main concerns. Smaller vehicles like scooters can be harder for drivers to see, particularly in heavy or fast-moving traffic. Intersections, lane changes, and merging areas can increase the chance of a crash.
Protective gear and awareness of surroundings can help reduce some risks. Road design and driver attention also play a part in keeping all road users safer.
