Minneapolis, MN (May 1, 2026) – One person suffered life-threatening injuries, and another was arrested on Thursday morning, April 30, following a crash that damaged a well-known Minneapolis business.
The collision happened just before 6:30 a.m. at the intersection of West 26th Street and Lyndale Avenue South. According to police, a Honda sedan and a Chevrolet SUV collided in the intersection.
After the impact, the Honda struck the CC Club, a local dive bar. The Chevrolet ended up on the sidewalk nearby, causing additional property damage. Emergency units transported the Honda driver to Hennepin Healthcare with life-threatening injuries.
Police said the driver of the Chevrolet was arrested on suspicion of assault. Investigators also reported that the SUV driver may have pointed a firearm at the other driver before the crash and possibly fired a shot. Officials stated the Honda driver’s injuries do not appear to be gunshot-related.
No other injuries were reported at the scene. Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash, and more details will be released as soon as they become available.
