Anderson Co., TN (July 2, 2026) – A deadly crash shut down lanes on Wednesday afternoon, July 1, on State Route 116 in Anderson County.
The Tennessee Department of Transportation said the crash happened just after 1:30 p.m. on State Route 116, also known as Briceville Highway. The crash prompted lanes in both directions to close.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol confirmed that the crash was fatal. The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
