Albuquerque, NM (January 24, 2026) – Emergency crews responded to a motor vehicle crash with reported injuries Friday afternoon, January 23, near the intersection of Buenaventura Road NE and Girard Boulevard NE in Albuquerque.
The incident occurred around 3:03 p.m. and was designated as a “29 Bravo 1” response, indicating an injury-involved traffic collision. Engine 12 and Rescue 12 were dispatched to the scene to provide medical assistance.
The crash took place on January 23 in a busy area near the University District, where both residential and commuter traffic is common. Although injuries were confirmed at dispatch, authorities have not yet released details on the number of individuals involved or the severity of those injuries.
First responders worked to assist those hurt and manage traffic while the scene was secured and cleared. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
