Alvaton, KY (January 26, 2026) – Emergency crews responded to a traffic accident on Interstate 65 southbound early on Sunday morning that left one person with reported arm pain and caused partial lane blockage in the Alvaton area.
The crash took place on January 25 at the 26-mile marker of I-65 southbound. Emergency response teams from Alvaton Fire, EMS, and Kentucky State Police (KSP) were called to the scene shortly after 12:11 a.m., following a report from a caller who noted injuries and ongoing traffic impact.
According to initial details, one person involved in the collision complained of arm pain. The extent of the injury and whether medical transport was required have not yet been confirmed. Responders also reported that part of the roadway remained blocked as they worked the scene.
Traffic on this stretch of I-65 was temporarily affected as emergency personnel assisted the injured and worked to safely reopen all lanes.
Officials are still investigating what caused the collision.
