AUSTIN, Travis County, Texas, Sept. 24, 2026 — One person died after a crash Wednesday afternoon, September 23, on South Lamar Boulevard in Austin, according to the Austin Police Department.
Officers responded to the 1700 block of South Lamar Boulevard after reports of a crash, police said. One person was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The person later died from injuries suffered in the crash, according to the Austin Police Department. Police have not released the identity of the victim or said what led up to the crash.
