Understanding Autocycles and Their Risks on the Road
Autocycles are vehicles that blend characteristics of motorcycles and cars, typically featuring two wheels in the front and one in the back. Their unique design can make them more vulnerable in collisions with larger vehicles.
Because they are lighter than standard cars, impacts from crashes, especially with SUVs or trucks, can result in serious or fatal injuries for drivers and passengers. Autocycles offer limited protection compared with traditional cars, even though they include some car-like safety features such as seat belts and roll cages.
Investigators often examine vehicle type, speed, and road conditions to understand how crashes involving autocycles occur, helping inform safety measures and public awareness.
