Frequently Asked Questions
What usually causes crashes between passenger vehicles and semi trucks?
These crashes commonly stem from blind spots, following too closely, or a vehicle merging into a truck's path. Limited visibility at night can also play a role.
How does speed affect how serious a crash becomes?
Higher speeds give drivers less time to react and increase the force of impact, which tends to make injuries more severe and vehicles harder to control after a collision.
Why is distracted driving considered so risky?
Taking attention off the road for even a few seconds can prevent a driver from noticing a slowing or stopped vehicle ahead, especially near intersections or large trucks that need more room to stop.
Can weather or road conditions contribute to crashes like this one?
Wet pavement, poor lighting, and reduced visibility at night can all make it harder for drivers to judge distance and react in time, though no specific cause has been confirmed in this case.
