What to Do After a Hit-and-Run Crash in Bay City, Michigan
If you witness or are involved in a hit-and-run, try to note the vehicle's description, direction of travel, and any part of the license plate, then call 911 right away. Do not chase the vehicle. Anyone injured should be checked by paramedics even if injuries seem minor at first, since some symptoms appear later. Preserve any photos, dashcam footage, or home security video, and share it with police promptly, since early tips usually make the difference in identifying a driver who fled. File a police report and keep a copy for insurance and medical follow-up.
