Philipstown, NY (June 23, 2026) – A bicyclist was struck by a pickup truck near Route 9 and Horton Rd in the Town of Philipstown on Monday, June 22, at approximately 10:30 a.m.
Deputies said they were called to the roadway after receiving reports of a collision between a bicyclist and a pickup truck. The bicyclist suffered serious injuries and was taken for medical care before being airlifted to Westchester Medical Center.
The bicyclist remains in critical condition, while the pickup truck driver stayed at the site and is cooperating with investigators. The identities of those involved were not released.
The New York State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is assisting with the review of the wreck. The investigation is still underway as more details are gathered.
