Commerce Twp., MI (August 6, 2026) – A male bicyclist was critically injured on Thursday, August 6, in a collision involving a sport utility vehicle. The crash occurred around 6:16 a.m. near West Maple Road and the Michigan Air Line Trail crossing by Grandview Drive.
A 2008 GMC Envoy driven by a 65-year-old Walled Lake woman was traveling northwest on West Maple Road as it approached the trail crossing.
Emergency units responded and assisted the injured rider. No injuries to the sport utility vehicle driver were reported. The cause of the crash remains under review.
