Livermore, CA (July 4, 2026) – A multi-vehicle traffic incident involving a big rig was reported on Thursday afternoon on eastbound Interstate 580 at the Airway Boulevard off-ramp in Livermore. The first report was received at approximately 5:14 p.m., with initial dispatch information indicating several lanes were blocked.
Early reports identified the vehicles as a big rig, a silver Kia Soul, a white Toyota RAV4, a Roto-Rooter van, and a silver Honda Civic. Later updates clarified that four passenger vehicles and the big rig were involved. Dispatch records also confirmed that injuries were reported. The Kia Soul sustained major all-around damage, while the Toyota RAV4 had significant damage to its left side and rear. Multiple tow trucks were requested to remove the disabled vehicles.
