Buckeye, AZ (January 25, 2026) – A tragic collision on Interstate 10 near Verrado Way claimed the life of a 24-year-old woman from Tonopah on Tuesday morning, January 20.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the crash occurred at approximately 6:40 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-10. Investigators reported that the woman was driving when her vehicle collided with the rear of a work truck. The specific circumstances that led to the crash have not yet been released.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and transported the driver to a nearby hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased due to the severity of her injuries. No other injuries were reported in the incident.
The accident took place on January 20 during early morning traffic, prompting a temporary shutdown of the eastbound lanes of I-10 while crews worked to investigate and clear the roadway.
