Wright Twp., MI (July 3, 2026) – A motorcyclist was critically injured on Friday morning, July 3, after a crash involving a large bus in Ottawa County.
Ottawa County sheriff’s deputies were called around 10:21 a.m. to the intersection of 8th Avenue and Roosevelt Street in Wright Township. The crash involved a Harley-Davidson motorcycle and a large bus.
The police said the motorcyclist, a 22-year-old Coopersville man, was traveling south on 8th Avenue before the collision. The bus, driven by a 35-year-old Conklin man, was traveling west on Roosevelt Street.
Witnesses told police the bus had stopped at a stop sign before entering the intersection. The crash happened as the bus crossed 8th Avenue.
The motorcyclist was taken to an area hospital in critical condition. The intersection remained closed for cleanup and investigation after the crash.
