What Is Often Reviewed After a Head-On Collision
Head-on crashes are among the most severe roadway incidents because both vehicles are usually moving toward each other at the time of impact. The combined force can cause major damage to the front passenger areas, which often leads to critical injuries.
Investigators commonly look at lane positioning, road markings, and whether either vehicle crossed the center line. Skid marks, debris patterns, and vehicle resting points can also help show how the collision occurred.
Other factors may include lighting conditions, visibility, and the speed of each vehicle before impact. Medical findings can later provide a clearer picture of how the injuries happened and how the crash unfolded.
