Anderson, SC (August 10, 2026) – One person was killed, and four others were injured after a car crashed into a home on Sugar Creek Lane in Anderson County on Saturday night, August 8.
The crash happened around 9:30 p.m. According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, a 2010 Audi carrying a driver and two passengers was traveling north on New Hope Road. The Audi crossed Whitehall Road before leaving the roadway. It struck a tree and a power box before crashing into the home on Sugar Creek Lane. One passenger died at the scene, according to officials.
The driver and other passenger were injured and taken to a hospital, while a couple inside the home also suffered injuries. The identities of those involved have not been released.
