Columbia, SC (August 10, 2026) – A pedestrian woman succumbed to injuries after being fatally struck by two vehicles, including one that left the scene, on Decker Boulevard in Columbia.
The crash happened at about 9:10 p.m. near Joye Circle, close to Exit 74 on Interstate 20. The pedestrian was walking north on Decker Boulevard when they were struck by the passenger-side mirror of a northbound 2006 Cadillac SUV. The impact knocked the pedestrian onto the roadway, where they were struck by a second northbound vehicle. That vehicle then left the scene.
The pedestrian died from injuries suffered in the crash. The victim’s identity has not been publicly released. The driver of the Cadillac was not injured, and no other injuries were reported. The cause of the crash has not been released.
