Mercer, PA (August 27, 2026) – A crash injured children waiting for a school bus on Wednesday morning, August 26, near a local school. The wreck occurred around 7:40 a.m. at West Butler St and Maple Ave, according to police.
A woman was driving when a 17-year-old driver reportedly ran a stop sign. The vehicles collided, and the teen’s car then struck at least two children and a parent.
The woman may have had a neck injury and was taken to the hospital. The 17-year-old driver was also taken to the hospital as a precaution. One child had a possible broken arm and was taken to the hospital, while no specific injuries were reported for the other child or parent.
