Why UTV Rollover Crashes Can Cause Severe Injuries
UTV rollover crashes can lead to serious harm because riders may face sudden force from several directions. These vehicles are often used on fields, private land, and uneven ground. A quick turn, rut, slope, or loss of control can cause the vehicle to tip.
Passenger injuries may depend on seating position, speed, and whether safety restraints were used. Rollovers can also create a risk of ejection or impact with the frame, ground, or nearby objects.
Rural crash scenes can add challenges for medical response. Fields may be harder to reach than paved roads, especially at night. Air medical flights may be used when a patient needs faster access to advanced hospital care.
