Salem, OR (June 18, 2026) – Two people were killed in a head-on crash shortly after midnight on Wednesday, June 17, along the 14000 block of Marion Rd SE in Salem.
According to preliminary findings, a Kia traveled across the centerline and struck a Volkswagen Passat. Emergency units arrived at the roadway shortly after the two-vehicle collision was reported, but both drivers were pronounced dead at the site.
The deceased were identified as a 16-year-old girl and 22-year-old Blaik Peruchetti. Investigators indicated that the Kia crossed into oncoming traffic before making contact with the Passat. No additional details regarding the circumstances leading up to the crash were immediately released. Investigators are continuing to examine the factors that contributed to the fatal collision.
