What Factors Can Contribute to Late-Night Crashes on City Roads?
Crashes that happen around midnight often involve reduced visibility, which can make it harder for drivers to react quickly. Street lighting, weather conditions, and road design can all affect how well drivers can see at night.
Driver fatigue is another factor that may affect attention and reaction time. People driving late at night may be tired, especially if they have been on the road for long periods. This can lead to slower responses to sudden changes in traffic.
Traffic levels are usually lower overnight, but speeds may increase as a result. Higher speeds can make crashes more severe when they occur. Road conditions, such as curves or intersections, can also influence how these incidents unfold.
