Charlotte, NC (January 11, 2026) – A traffic accident involving injuries was reported early Saturday morning at the intersection of Gibbon Road and Derita Avenue in north Charlotte. The collision occurred at approximately 1:33 a.m. on January 10, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department records.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after the crash was reported and began assisting the individuals involved. At least one person sustained injuries and required medical evaluation. The extent of the injuries has not yet been confirmed.
Gibbon Rd and Derita Ave serve as a connector for local residential and commuter traffic in north Charlotte, and early morning conditions may have contributed to the incident. Emergency crews worked to secure the scene and restore traffic flow.
