Chattanooga, TN (January 8, 2026) – An injury-causing traffic collision was reported Wednesday evening in the East Chattanooga area. The crash occurred around 5:18 p.m. along the 2200 block of N Chamberlain Ave, drawing a response from Chattanooga Fire and Rescue and emergency medical personnel.
First responders arrived promptly at the scene and provided care to multiple individuals who sustained injuries in the incident. Paramedics evaluated those involved, and at least one person was transported for additional treatment. The extent of the injuries has not yet been released, though responders remained on scene for some time assisting the victims and securing the area.
N Chamberlain Ave runs through a densely populated residential neighborhood, and the time of the crash—shortly after the evening commute—contributed to traffic congestion in the vicinity. Authorities temporarily closed portions of the roadway as they worked to investigate the scene and safely move the damaged vehicles.
At this time, the specific cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Chattanooga Police Department. Officials are working to determine whether speed, distraction, or other factors played a role.
We extend our thoughts to those affected by this collision and wish all injured parties a swift recovery.
