Chazy, NY (January 14, 2026) – Two teenagers were seriously injured following a crash involving a car and a dirt bike at the intersection of Miner Farm Rd and Route 9 in Chazy on Tuesday evening. The incident occurred just before 6:00 p.m. and left one of the teens in critical condition.
Authorities say the dirt bike, occupied by two underage riders, was traveling through the intersection when it was struck by a southbound vehicle. The force of the collision ejected both teens from the bike, prompting a swift emergency response.
First responders quickly arrived and provided life-saving aid before transporting both teens to Champlain Valley Physician’s Hospital. One teen remains in critical condition with life-threatening injuries, while the other is being treated for serious but non-life-threatening trauma.
Eyewitnesses at the scene noted that the car involved in the crash had Vermont plates. The intersection was temporarily closed while investigators from local law enforcement worked to determine the cause of the collision. As of now, no charges have been filed, and the incident remains under investigation.
Our thoughts are with the two injured teens and their families as they navigate this difficult time. We hope for a full and steady recovery.
