Chicago, IL (May 17, 2026) – Multiple people were injured in a crash on the city’s Near South Side on Saturday, May 16. The collision occurred in the 2400 block of South Michigan Avenue, according to Chicago fire officials.
Emergency units responded to the scene after reports of a crash involving multiple injuries. Officials confirmed that 12 people were hurt in the incident. Six of those injured were taken to nearby hospitals in good to serious condition.
The remaining six individuals were treated at the scene and did not require hospital transport, according to fire officials.
