Chicago, IL (January 15, 2026) – A traffic accident resulting in injuries was reported late Wednesday morning on I-94 southbound near 79th St in Chicago. Emergency crews, including personnel from the Chicago Fire Department, were dispatched to the scene shortly after 11:40 a.m.
Initial reports indicated that the crash occurred on the left shoulder of the interstate, causing disruptions to mid-day traffic. Fire crews and medical responders worked swiftly to assist at least one person hurt in the incident. The extent of the injuries has not been released at this time.
