What Factors Can Lead to Rollover Crashes in Urban Areas?
Busy approaches near South Western Avenue can change quickly after a crash. In Chicago, responders may manage traffic flow while assisting those involved and clearing damaged vehicles.
Rollover crashes can occur when a vehicle loses stability after striking objects such as curbs, hydrants, or barriers. The force of impact and direction of movement can cause a vehicle to tip or overturn.
Urban environments often include close roadside features and heavy traffic, which can increase the chance of secondary impacts. Road design, speed, and vehicle control all influence how these incidents unfold and their severity.
