Chicago, IL (January 10, 2026) – A traffic incident involving two vehicles blocking an alley near South Kolin Ave resulted in at least one person being transported to the hospital on Friday afternoon.

Officers responded to reports of a blockage in the alley near the 600 block of S Kolin Ave around 2:35 p.m. Emergency units were requested after it was confirmed that an individual involved in the crash had been injured and required medical attention.

While the exact details of the crash remain unclear, police confirmed that both vehicles remained at the scene, obstructing traffic in the narrow alleyway. Responding units worked to coordinate clearance of the vehicles and address the obstruction, which caused localized disruptions for nearby residents.

The injured individual was taken to a hospital for treatment. 

Authorities continue to investigate the situation and are working to determine what led to the alleyway collision.
