How Crashes Into Buildings Can Occur After Roadway Collisions
When two vehicles collide at speed, one or both can be pushed off their original path. If a vehicle is redirected toward the roadside, it may strike nearby structures such as storefronts or homes. These types of crashes often happen in areas where buildings sit close to busy streets.
Ignoring traffic signals or failing to slow down at intersections can increase the force of impact, making it harder to regain control. Even after the initial collision, a vehicle may continue moving if momentum is not reduced quickly. This can lead to secondary impacts that extend beyond the roadway.
