Why Losing Control of a Vehicle Can Lead to Fixed-Object Crashes
When a driver loses control of a vehicle, it can leave the roadway or strike nearby objects. Poles, barriers, and signs are common points of impact in these types of crashes.
Speed, road conditions, and driver reaction all affect how a vehicle handles. Sudden movements or overcorrection can make it harder to regain control once the vehicle begins to drift.
Crashes involving fixed objects can still result in serious injuries, especially when the impact is direct. Staying within safe speeds and remaining focused can help reduce the risk of losing control.
