Memphis, TN (August 3, 2026) – A 10-year-old boy was hurt in a hit-and-run crash on Saturday night, August 1, at the intersection of Oakwood Street and Heard Avenue in North Memphis.
Emergency units were called to the scene around 10:30 p.m. after reports of a vehicle striking a child. The boy was taken to a hospital in critical condition before his status was later updated to non-critical. His mother told reporters on Sunday that he was doing better. According to police, the vehicle involved left the scene after the collision.
