West Park, FL (July 7, 2026) – A vehicle struck a one-year-old child on Monday afternoon, July 6, in the 100 block of Allen Road, resulting in a fatal accident. Officials said the crash was reported shortly after 2 p.m., and emergency units responded.
Deputies arrived and found the child suffering from injuries. The child was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital, where he later died. Officials said the driver involved remained at the scene. Investigators focused on a white Chevrolet Suburban, which relatives said is typically driven by the child’s mother.
Family members reported that the child was outside when he was struck by a vehicle that was backing up. The child’s identity has not been released. The incident remains under review by authorities.
